As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, the fastest way to level up the Mining skill in Old School RuneScape (OSRS) might have changed due to game updates or new strategies. However, up until that point, the most efficient way to train Mining was through the "3-tick" granite mining method.

Here's a basic outline of how the 3-tick granite mining method worked:

  1. Requirements: To utilize this method, you needed 45 Mining, 60 Strength, and completion of the quest "The Grand Tree" for access to the Gnome Stronghold resource dungeon.

  2. Location: Head to the Bandit Camp Quarry located in the desert. You can use the Gnome Stronghold spirit tree for quick access.

  3. Equipment: You would wear a granite body, granite gloves, and a pair of boots of your choice. A rune or dragon pickaxe was essential.

  4. Inventory Setup: Your inventory should consist of 2 waterskins, a herb sack (for additional storage), and the rest filled with the best weight-reducing food (like baskets of strawberries).

  5. 3-Tick Mining Method: Here's the core of the method:

This method allowed for extremely fast Mining experience rates, but it required precise timing and practice to perform effectively.

Please note that game dynamics might have changed after my last update, and new methods or content might have been introduced that provide even faster Mining experience rates. I recommend checking the official Old School RuneScape website, forums, or community resources for the latest and most efficient training methods as of 2023.
